Ornament Keepsakes Card

I know, I know…it’s only November and here I am, posting a Christmas card. But, in my defense, I just want to give you time to order the supplies just in case this is your perfect Christmas card!  I’m considerate that way, you know.

This Ornament Keepsakes card combines a classic, elegant ornament with a bit of rustic woodgrain, in a muted traditional red, green, and white palette, using Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, and Very Vanilla. Ornament-Card-ChaosServedDa

Supplies:  Ornament Keepsakes (128051) and More Merry Messages (126402) Stamp Sets; Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler Classic Inks; Very Vanilla and Always Artichoke Cardstock; Pearl Basic Jewels; Woodgrain Embossing Folder; Holiday Ornament Framelits (127816); Big Shot Die Cut Machine; Corner Rounder Punch

Now, isn’t that pretty?  I love the texture of the Woodgrain folder and the line of pearls. This was a simple, fun card to create.  I used the Ornament Framelits with my Big SHot to die cut the stamped ornament image, but you could just cut it out with scissors, if you have more patience than I do. When made with the Big Shot, I can see making 25 or even 50 of these, but if I were cutting each ornament by hand, I’d likely make no more than 5 of these!

I included the item numbers for the stamps and the framelits in the supply list, because they’re still available but not pictured in the catalog. Again, I’m making it easy for you!

Speaking of making it easy, I have an entire month of gift ideas, cards, and easy meals to simplify your holiday season (because, believe it or not, the holidays are approaching at warp speed!)…I hope you’ll stop by to say hi and check out all the fabulous projects I’ve planned!

Oh, and if you’re looking for a simple, rustic serving piece for your Thanksgiving table, stop by Live Creatively Inspired to see what I’m sharing there today…it’s so cool, I can’t wait for you to see it!

I love it! I actually did cut by hand, ornaments for about 45 cards a few years ago, with two ornaments per card. Needless to say, I had major hand cramps after that project…

This card is pretty. I love the wood grain look of the green paper also! I was flipping through a cowboy magazine yesterday and that coupled with the woodgrain paper there is getting me in the mood for the winter season! I love winter! Bring on the snow!

Pinning this but I would substitute the retired ornament punch and stamp set. I bought those before they retired but have not used them yet 🙂
