Stampin’ Up Color Refresh and Other News

Untitled-2

Stampin’ Up! is just brimming with exciting news…here’s a peek at some of them, but you can always learn more at my website, http://meganodonnell.stampinup.net.

{Perhaps} the most exciting news is the Color Refresh.  When we underwent a major Color Renovation a few years ago, Stampin’ Up said they would be doing smaller “refreshes” every few years.  This first one brings back nine colors from past In Color Collections (woohoo for Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party, in particular!), as well as a new color, Smoky Slate.

Starting May 31, you can order the new colors (that’s when the 2013-14 Annual Catalog goes live….yay!).  There are a couple of options, if you’d like all ten.

New Color Cardstock & Pad Kit (item 132275) $56.95 Includes 10 Classic Stampin’ Pads in the new colors and 20 sheets of cardstock (8-1/2″ x 11″); 2 each in 10 new colors.

Stampin’ Write Marker New Color Kit* (item 130034) $28.95 Includes markers in the 10 new colors.

I’m sad to say goodbye to the colors that are retiring, but am sure my creativity will be recharged with these new additions!  If you’d like to stock up on the retiring pads, refills, cardstock, etc., don’t dilly-dally…they’re selling out fast, and when they’re gone, they’re gone.  The Retiring Lists will be released on April 24 for stamps and accessories, so I’ll keep you posted on those.

The new This and That line follows the latest trends in journaling/scrapbooking combination. You can purchase components separately, but until the end of April, get everything you need bundled together for a 15% savings. Mine is en route right now, and I can’t wait for it to arrive!

By the way, that card, up there at the top of the post?  Those clever designers at Stampin’ Up! used paper, stickers, and washi tape from the This and That collection to create it. So it’s not just for scrapbooking…didn’t you see?  I typed “washi tape”…how exciting is that?

Here’s an idea to help out the dudes in your life…a card set made just for them.  See all the details on my Stampin’ Up! website.  Wouldn’t it be amazing if your guy discovered his creative side when it comes to card-making? Think of all the couples time you could spend making Christmas cards next year!  My favorite GI Joe always helps with our cards, and I think he secretly enjoys it (at least, he never finds something else to do when I get our the supplies!).

This Sent with Love Kit is available in digital format or a traditional set…it’s perfect for your summer vacation scrapbooking, or to make super cute goodbye gifts for friends who are moving clear across the country. Ahem. I’m sure you all know someone like that, who would so appreciate it! (wink, wink)

I’ve bugged you about Paper Pumpkin before, so let me just say that this little creativity escape is amazing!

One last note…did you know my Stampin’ Up! website is chock-full of great ideas for cards and projects?  And not just my own creations, which you might have already seen on here. No, the ideas come from the artists at Stampin’ Up! So if you’re ever experiencing a creative block, check out the gallery over there and recharge your stampin’ mojo!
