Easter Specimen Art

Princess Thundercloud loves stickers. Especially ones with glitter and/or jewels. So when she saw this sheet of stickers at the craft store, she HAD to have it. I had a 50% off coupon to burn, so why not?

She generally just sticks her stickers to any old piece of paper she can find, and is a firm believer in “more is more,” unfortunately.  I came up with this craft idea that not only used many of the stickers, but allowed her to create something that I don’t cringe at using for Easter décor.

Cute, right?  And it was super simple and quick, both desired qualities in a craft I’m making with her. We simply cut some scrapbooking paper (this is Stampin’ Up’s Natural Composition Specialty Series paper) to 5×7 and attached our bunny stickers.  Then we stamped “Happy Easter” from the Delightful Dozen stamp set on Whisper White cardstock and punched it out with the Modern Label punch. We used Dimensionals to attach it, to give it a little, well, dimension. Oh. the stickers were Jolee’s Boutique brand.

Bunnies-Closeup

The paper we used is super cool…it’s all kraft-colored, with embossed raised designs on it (here, the musical staff and notes).  It’s a perfect background for cards or projects like this. In case you’re wondering, it’s Item 126917 for $12.95 and you’ll get 2 each of 6 single-sided designs. Just so you know. And it’s Sale-a-Bration time, so you can even get fabulous FREE stamps and supplies!

And here’s a photo of the artisan herself. She’s just a little pleased with her efforts!

Her shirt, by the way, reads, “Fun to be me!” That little motto should be tattooed on her forehead, it’s so absolutely her.
