Christmas Card Monday: Patchwork

Before I forget, check out a guest post I get to share over on Tutus and Tea Parties today…it’s the first of a series of ornament tutorials, so you can get some great ideas!

Today’s card has a patchwork, cozy kind of feel…and it came together very quickly, so would be great to produce in quantity. And did I mention it’s bright, with traditional red and green?

Patchwork-Xmas

All Stampin’ Up! supplies:  Greetings of the Season stamp set (also available individually); Distressed Dots background stamp; Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White cardstock; Snow Festival DSP; Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler markers; Corner rounder punch; White gel pen

The Gumball Green cardstock is much prettier in person…it’s very hard to photograph it with true results.  It’s a bit blue-er than this.  Anyway, I think the faux stitching brings it all together and reinforces the patchwork quilt vibe.

And now I’m off to spend the day with my favorite GI Joe, who has the day off for Veterans’ Day.  Have YOU thanked a vet today?  Mine might even get a extra hug or two!

By the way, I realize Veterans’ Day was yesterday, but we’re observing it today, too!

Tell your GI Joe thank you from two truly thankful Americans. Now I’m heading over to Tutu’s… By the way, have I mentioned how proud I am of you?
