One of my friends recently emailed me a photo of a card she wanted to duplicate, asking which stamps and supplies she needed. It was lovely, but used the Medallion stamp, which was retired last year. I redesigned it, using stamps and supplies from the current catalog.
Supplies: Greetings of the Season and Hello Doily stamp set; Bravo Burgundy and Very Vanilla Cardstock; Lucky Limeade and Bravo Burgundy classic inks; Scallop Trim Border, 2-3/8” Scallop, and 1-3/4” Scallop punches;Dazzling Details in Cherry Cobbler;Pearls; and some ivory ribbon that’s retired
I love this card, but I would be even happier with a burgundy ribbon on it. Unbelievably, I did not have any! I’m so glad my friend asked me about supplies…it turned out to be such a elegant yet festive card.
Tick, tock, tick, tock…it’s only 50 days until Christmas! You’re welcome for that reminder. Hey, don’t throw things at your computer screen!
That is SO beautiful! I love the colors and love the embellishments!
And you’ll have one of your very own! Thanks for the compliment, though!
I just love this whole giveaway thing!!!
I’ll just bet you do…me, too!
Oooowwww, that’s purty! Nice redo. Gotta love the touches of pearls and the great border punch. Oh, and I love the new “signature” line!
Hope this comment posts okay. I’m still having technical issues. Can’t possibly be user error! LOL
It posted perfectly…and your plans for a side gate are probably a go…we should know definitely any day now! I totally thought of you while making this card…I think the colors and the pearls were what did it!
This is my first time on your blog – referred by Judy Gangloff – what a treat! What catalog are you talking about to obtain the supplies for making the card?
Thanks for stopping by, Melinda…I hope you’ll visit lots, or even subscribe via email! And how cool that Judy sent you…I had no idea she was keeping up with my chaos! I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, so I try to use their products in my cards and such…you can find a link to my website with the entire catalog in the right sidebar. How handy is that?
