Back in June, when the new Stampin’ Up! catalog went live, I couldn’t wait to get the Carry On hostess set…and then I combined it with the “Merry” from Greetings of the Season, and just look what I created!
All Stampin’ Up supplies: Carry On and Greetings of the Season stamp sets; Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White Cardstock; Festival of Prints DSP Stack; Merry Minis punch pack; White Craft Ink; White Embossing Powder; Rhinestone; Heat Gun(for embossing); Stamp-a-ma-jig
I used clear stamps and my Stamp-a-ma-jig so it was easy to line it up quickly. I rarely use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to align things, preferring to chalk it up to “handmade” if it’s not exact, but I wanted this to be just right. It only takes a minute or so to set up, and if you’re making these in mass, it’s a real timesaver in the end.
In order to ink just the “Merry”, I used a piece of Scotch tape to cover the “Christmas” while I stamped it on the ink pad, then peeled off the tape (and ink on it) before stamping on the card. I cut “Carry” and “on” apart to make it easier. I could have used the same tape technique there, if I didn’t want to cut my stamps apart.
So just keep calm and stamp on…Christmas is less than two months away!
This looks great! Visiting from the Blog Hop.
