When I saw loaves of Pumpkin Swirl bread at the grocery store last week (and they didn’t have any bad ingredients), I was struck with inspiration…how delicious would it be, made into French toast sandwiches, honey nut cream cheese and pumpkin butter slathered into the center? Pretty darned amazing, that’s how delicious it was!
This doesn’t really even have a recipe, but I’ll tell you how I made it and what you’ll need to pick up so you can enjoy it, too.
Ingredients:
Pumpkin Swirl bread(but cinnamon raisin would work, too, if you can’t find it)
1 tub honey nut cream cheese
Pumpkin Butter (here’s how to quickly make your own)
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 or 2 Tbsp butter
How to:
Spread the cream cheese on one piece of bread and the pumpkin butter on the other and make a sandwich.
Melt the butter in a large skillet or on a griddle.
Whisk together milk and eggs in a shallow bowl or plate, and quickly dip each side of the sandwich in this mixture.
Cook the sandwiches until browned on either side. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with fresh fruit.
I had perfectly ripe pears and some sweet, juicy raspberries in the refirgerator, so that’s what we had with ours.
Enjoy!
Oh, yum!!!!!
sounds very yummy!
Thanks, Beth…I hope you’ll try it! Thanks for stopping by!
Sounds good! I just made pumpkin butter last week and looking for ways to use it!
