S’More Treats

Smore-Fun

Stampin’ Up! supplies: Halloween Hang-Ups jumbo roller stamp with Basic Black ink; Lucky Limeade, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, and Rich Razzleberry Cardstock; White gel pen, Bat Punch, Peach Parfait and Razzleberry Ribbons; Medium Cellophane Bags

My hooligans have been eyeing these giant pumpkin marshmallows ever since they were in my craft room watching Kick Buttowski and found them. For kids who can’t find a shirt, pants, underwear, and socks to put on in the morning, they sure are quick to sniff out any sort of sugar that’s new to the household. I’m pretty sure I could hide stuff in the bottom of their sock drawers and they’d never find it.

But I digress. S’mores are pretty popular around our house, whether made over a campfire or just melted in the microwave. You should be aware, however, that these marshmallows inflate to practically fill the whole microwave when heated. Don’t worry…they deflate quickly, but it’s a little alarming if you’re not expecting it.

If you’ve not tried them, roller stamps are great for kids. They can easily decorate gift bags or make cards with them, with very little mess. The sentiment I created on the computer and just printed onto Whisper White cardstock. You could also print it on mailing labels, which a great plan if you’re making these in large quantities, such as for a school class.

We’ve also made these for pumpkin patch field trips, putting a tag on that says “S’More Pumpkin Fun!” and using other stamps.

The bat punch is retired from Stampin’ Up! but I think it’s one of my very favorite punches. You can buy similar ones at any craft store, especially around Halloween.

The hooligans love making things for their classmates, and this is a really fun one…of course, I’m sure at least half the kids will eat the ingredients on the bus before they even get home. But that’s okay.

By the way, this is a redo of a post from last year, when only my husband and a couple of friends were reading my blog…so I hope it’s new to you!
