As Seen on TV

I’ve been knitting quite a lot lately.  So, you ask, what’s the point?  I watch TV while I knit, and, thus, I’ve seen a lot of great ideas…it’s like the olden times, before Pinterest!  I just wanted to share a few of these fun projects…of course, I pinned them as well, so you can see them on my Pinterest pages.

1.  Rachel Ray’s Buffalo Chicken with Blue Cheese Cornbread Casserole

It’s much yummier than it looks. We enjoyed it on the first chilly fall evening last weekend.

2. A Revolutionary War Encampment in Saukville, WI

After seeing a story about this on the local morning show, I coerced the family into going.  It was probably the best event we’ve attended since moving here.  The kids made their own rope, we learned to spin yarn, and we watched the Rebs lose to the Redcoats while eating popcorn. The whole early American experience. This encampment takes place every Labor Day weekend, so stop by if you’re in the area.

And then I made a scrapbook page of our memories.

3. Way, way too many ideas on the DIY Network. MY GI Joe is an addict, I tell you.  Thank goodness football season has now started, so he can watch hours of that instead…our house in Washington is just not large enough to accommodate all the fabulous ideas the two of us want to implement there!

So there’s a few things I’ve done lately in lieu of spending time on Pinterest. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m pretty sure my Pinterest account has been feeling neglected and I don’t want that to happen!

I love reading your comments, and I'll very likely reply!
