I love using googlie eyes, especially at Halloween, so I was thrilled to see small adhesive ones in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog (item 127539, $2.50 for a pack of 50). And, wouldn’t you know it? Those clever folks even designed a stamp kit to use with them. Yay!
And, if that weren’t enough to make you NEED them for your crafting, there’s a nifty treat bag designer kit (126914, $7.95) that makes 10 of these cute little bags. I added the “Boooo” tag and black ribbon, but other than that, this bag took about 1 minute to stamp and tie on the tag. My additions made still took less than five minutes, even with embossing the sentiment.
The kit includes 20 printed tags, 10 glassine bags (I always feel like such a Martha, using glassine), 50 adhesive backed googlie eyes, and 10 pieces of pumpkin pie baker’s twine (and that’s only available in this kit…no where else!). But wait, there’s more!
You can purchase the Ghoulish Googlies bundle, which includes the designer kit and the stamp set, at a 15% savings off purchasing individually. For wood-mount stamps, the item is 129852 and it’s $20.95, or clear mount is item 129853 for $16.95. It practically pays for itself in cuteness!
Then I had a flash of genius, and combined the Googly Ghouls spiders with the jar from Perfectly Preserved to make this super fun card. I also used the Seasonal Sayings stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. The patterned paper is from the Howlstooth &Scaringbone DSP pack, also in the Holiday Catalog. Yes, I basically ordered the entire Holiday Catalog, Why do you ask?
