A Grunged Up, Manly Card

Grunge-BDay

All Stampin’ Up!: Extreme Elements and Full of Life stamp sets
Crumb Cake and Whisper White cardstock; Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy, and Pumpkin Pie inks

Now that I look at this photo, I’m thinking I should have stamped the entire background with my Wonderfully Worn background stamp. But, alas, I did not, and I shipped the actual card to Operation Write Home today, so I can’t change it now! I’m planning to make another for my nephew’s birthday in a couple of weeks, but who knows if my plans will come together. They rarely do.

I popped the crown piece out with dimensionals and used a Not Quite Navy marker and ruler to add the lines. Originally I designed this for a stamp-a-stack, so kept it super simple…Stamps, Ink, Paper…S.I.P, baby, SIP!

If you’re looking for a challenge to yourself sometime, try making a card with just those…it’s harder than you might think to refrain from buttons, ribbons, brads, all those fun embellishments!

Now I’m craving a pumpkin spice latte after that SIP talk…I’m so suggestible. Enjoy the rest of your day, latte or no.
